The Forgotten Symphony

How can a symphony reveal the importance of Alzheimer's testing?

Insight

The USA has one of the highest rates of Alzheimer's, yet only 1% of people aged 65 and older get tested, and merely 17% are aware of the tests. This gap underscores a critical need for increased awareness and early detection efforts.

Idea

Given that 65% of orchestra event attendees are 65 years and older, we want to use this opportunity to spread awareness about Alzheimer's testing. Hosting a special orchestra night, the symphony will begin normally, but as the evening progresses, we will gradually remove notes from the performance, mirroring the stages of Alzheimer’s.

As the symphony starts to fall apart and people begin to notice, we will display our clear message on the impact of early detection and have a QR code on the tickets for attendees to book a nearby test.
